These are the members who kindly take on the responsibilies, that keep xHain running. They cover essential topics, like community, safety, finances, rules and infrastructure. Most Curators are part of a Branch.
For most tasks and responsibilities, it is not neccessary to be a Curator. If you like to do workshops, educate others or build up infrastructure at xHain, feel free to do so. Smaller and non-destructive things can be done right away (do-ocracy), mid-size projects should be communicated with the Round Table, and bigger undertakings should be planned with the Curators.
The specific tasks, only a Curator can do:
To ensure that rules are observed, a Curator is entitled to time-out a member for 48h instantly. It is their assessment, if this ban is for their Branch or xHain altogether.
Not following this instruction will automatically lead to a longer time-out or even a ban. In these cases the Curator should present the circumstances to the Vorstand, who will issue the time-out or ban.
To become a Governance Curator is different, because these people are the representatives of xHain e.V. and their role is defined by our bylaws.
On the yearly Governance Meeting the Governance Curators vote on new Curators of the Governance Branch. To become one, you have to be an established member of xHain and you have to be willing, to take over the tasks and responsibilities of a Governance Curator.
