¶ Hand-held circular saw
Circular hand saws are indispensable for working with wood on construction and assembly sites. Thanks to their manoeuvrability and free movement, workpieces can be cut to size on site. In conjunction with a guide rail, straight cuts can be made quickly in many materials using a suitable saw blade.
- Eye protection
- Hearing protection (for everyone in the room)
- Never reach under the machine during processing to hold the workpiece or sections!
- If your employees get their hands or fingers in the sawing area of the running saw blade, this can result in very serious cutting injuries.
- The unprotected saw blade under the workpiece can cause cutting injuries due to accidental contact.
- Splinters or cutting debris thrown away can cause eye injuries.
- Damaged or faulty live cables can lead to electric shocks via the housing or on cables.
- Kickbacks of the machine or the workpiece due to a jammed saw blade can cause injuries.
- When changing tools, sharp-edged saw blades can cause cutting injuries.
- all protective devices are fitted to the machine and are in perfect condition.
- the connecting cable and plug are undamaged.
- a saw blade suitable for the workpiece, undamaged and sharp is present.
- the saw snaps back into the housing independently and smoothly and does not protrude from below.
- the circular handsaw is equipped with a riving knife for cutting wood based materials and is correctly adjusted.
- Make sure that all cables can move freely during the entire work process, do not get caught and do not form any tripping hazards.
- If possible, the workpiece to be processed should be firmly secured (e.g. with screw clamps) and placed on a stable base to prevent it from tipping over. It should always be possible to guide the machine with both hands during processing.
- always use a guide rail if possible.
