Ask me about: Arduinos, soldering of any form, laser stencils, modules and parts
If you search for something, I probably know where it is. ESP-Vigilant.
- Chaos is inevitable, but cleaning up is part of "Be excellent to each other!"
Be so kind and put things back and wipe the mat after you're finish. Thanks!
- Please use the laser cut work boards to solder on wires, so you don't melt the ESD mats.
- Use a fume extractor while soldering. Flux fumes are bad for your lungs.
- Wash your hands afterwards, especially when handling leaded solder.
Consider wearing gloves (nitrile gloves are provided by the space).
- If you encounter problems, like solder not flowing, smoking PCBs or other issues, feel free to ask curators and other members for help (but respect that they may be busy with their own tasks/projects).
- Underneath the workbench is a bucket of sand. In case of a battery fire, throw the battery in the sand, or pour the sand over the battery. Do not endanger yourself. If the fire keeps burning, use the fire extinguisher next to the door of the AVX room.
