Flat dowel cutters are required to insert precisely fitting connecting dowels into wooden elements. This allows panels or frame parts to be joined together at all desired angles without being visible.
- Hearing protection (for everyone in the room)
- Cut injuries can occur on the milling tool
- Splinters or chips thrown off can cause eye injuries
- Kickbacks of the machine or the workpiece caused by hooking or jamming of the tool can cause injuries
- Damaged or faulty live cables can lead to electric shocks via the housing or on cables
- Cut injuries can occur due to sharp-edged tool cutting edges when changing tools.
- the connecting cable and plug are undamaged,
- an undamaged and sharpened milling cutter suitable for manual feed is installed,
- a suitable extraction device is available and connected.
- Before starting work, mark all milling points clearly visible on the workpiece and firmly set the milling depth and permissible speed.
- Ensure that the workpiece is always firmly supported and cannot slip during the milling process.
- The machine must be held firmly with both hands and guided freely during the machining process.
- Never reach into the working area of the milling cutter, e.g. to remove chips.
- Only apply the power tool to the workpiece with the saw blade running to avoid kickbacks.
- Make sure that no live wires or cables can be accidentally cut.
- Only put the power tool down when the milling cutter has come to a standstill.
